Flotation Plant - Gold

Challenge:

A fast-track add-on flotation circuit project was required by the Owner of an existing open-pit gold/lead/zinc mine to take into account changes in ore quality. The onus fell upon the main equipment supplier and the engineering integrator, Consultec, to bring together diverse equipment suppliers and construct a new facility, adjacent to an existing gold processing facility that remained in operation throughout the project.

Process:

The facility included tie-ins to mill feed at 120,000t/d to a new Cleaner/Scavenger/Recleaner circuit. A carefully planned phased design was scheduled to facilitate equipment tie-ins during planned plant shutdowns.

Delivery:

Consultec was the overall engineering integrator for this project, and was responsible for balance of plant equipment procurement, mechanical, civil, structural and electrical design as well as construction inspection
